Harrison Art League is a non profit organization and its Board consists of local citizens who volunteer their time and efforts towards planning and co-ordinating various shows, educational workshops and activities to promote the arts in our community and beyond.
HAL supports all traditional genres and medias, but also tries to be on the cutting edge of new and exciting artistic developments so we may grow with our members. We try to provide a nurturing environment for artists and encourage them to actively pursue their interests as well as help expand their horizons and make it possible for them to find new and exciting areas of artistic development.
You do not need to be a formally trained artist to join Harrison Art League; a love and appreciation for the arts is all that is required.
There are several reasons to become a HAL member artist:
- HAL Fall Art Show - Enter up to 3 works free with current membership dues paid. If, after all entries have been submitted, there is room remaining, members may then submit further entries for $10 per entry, or 3 for $25, at the discretion of the Board of Directors
- Promotion – Our member artists are welcome to participate in a monthly rotating display of artworks at various area banks
- Web Gallery – Our member artists are offered an online gallery of their works on HAL’s website, free of charge
- Workshops – HAL occasionally hosts educational workshops and interesting events
- Community - You know you are making a difference by installing art in our community
